North East Hobbit League Q4 2026 – The Road to the Finale Begins

The final quarter of the North East Hobbit League 2026 season is here, and there is still plenty of Middle-earth action to come before we crown this year’s league champion.

From Sheffield to Leeds, Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough and Newcastle, Q4 brings together a packed calendar of tournaments, regular club nights and special events across the North East and beyond.

Whether you’re chasing league points, testing a new army, preparing for the finale or simply looking for more games of MESBG, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved between October and December.

October – Five Events to Kick Off Q4

October starts Q4 in style with a busy month of events.

A full weekend of MESBG action gets the quarter underway in Sheffield with The Rings of Power.

Grab three teammates and prepare for battle as Middlesbrough hosts a four-person team tournament. Elliot Joyce and Matt Parsons have stepped to bring the chaos of Teams to the North Eat for a second time this year.

24 October – Shadows in the Deep – Element Games, Newcastle

October finishes with Shadows in the Deep taking place at Element Games in Newcastle. This will be their second event and continues to grow the beginner scene. Just a shame the North East hasn't quite got the hang of beginner friendly Army lists.

November – The League Battle Continues

There is no slowing down in November, with another four events spread across the region.

1 November – The Age of Meta is Over – Leeds

November begins in Leeds with The Age of Meta is Over, bringing another tournament to the wider northern MESBG calendar. This time with a twist from Adam Bird to try and get some new lists on the Podium. Can the Snow Troll cut it?

8 November - Gondor in 60 Seconds - Middlesbrough Gamers Club

The final Gondor in 60 Seconds of the year and a good opportunity to grab some league points. Mumaks encouraged.

12 November – Peterbowl – Northern Alliance Games, Newcastle

Peterbowl returns once again to Northern Alliance Games for its November outing. Still a peter free zone.

19 November – Thursday Night Throwdown – Middlesbrough Gamers Club

29 November – An Unexpected Gathering – Pro Tech Games, Stockton-on-Tees

November concludes in Stockton-on-Tees with An Unexpected Gathering at Pro Tech Games. New owner, new venue, new event series. More MESBG madness to follow.

December – One Last Push

December brings the 2026 league season to its conclusion.

10 December – Thursday Night Throwdown – Middlesbrough Gamers Club

The final Thursday Night Throwdown of the year takes place at Middlesbrough Gamers Club. Get that final low scale clash of wolves of isengard and wolf pack of Angmar in.

10 December – Peterbowl – Northern Alliance Games, Newcastle

On the same evening, Newcastle hosts the final Peterbowl of the year at Northern Alliance Games. What is a Peter?

And then comes the big one. From the mind that brought you Mac attack and Mukakake, the NEHL presents:

13 December – NEHL 2026 League Finale

The entire 2026 season comes down to Sunday 13 December at Northern Alliance Games, Newcastle. They'll be 4 epic games, a charity auction / raffle and a painting contest. The NEHL 2026 League Finale will bring together players from across the league for one final day of Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game action.

After a year of tournaments, league points, rivalries, victories and heroic last stands, this is where the 2026 North East Hobbit League reaches its conclusion.

Whether you have spent the year fighting for the top of the standings or have only recently joined the community, the finale is intended to be a celebration of another huge year of MESBG in the North East.

Will Jake Pollard be able to to keep the North East in check with this many games and it all to play for?

Dont forget the Regular Thursday Gaming Nights

The league is about far more than tournaments. Regular gaming nights continue throughout Q4 and are one of the easiest ways to meet other players, try new armies and get more games on the table.

Regular Thursday gaming takes place at:

- Middlesbrough Gamers Club

- Northern Alliance Games, Newcastle

- Rotten Seagulls, Sunderland

New players are always welcome, so if you have been thinking about getting involved with the North East MESBG community, Q4 is a great time to start.

The Final Quarter Awaits

Three months. Twelve events. One final push towards the end of the 2026 season.

There are team events, one-day tournaments, weekend events, Thursday night battles and plenty of opportunities to travel around the North East playing MESBG.

Then, on 13 December, everyone descends on Newcastle for the NEHL 2026 League Finale.

Sharpen your swords, muster your warbands and prepare for battle.
